Simazine on St. Augustine?
Anybody have experience in zone 9 - 10 with Simazine as a pre-emergent on St. Augustine lawns?

IMO, as a pre-emergent it is only so-so. Yeah, it does some good, but we've had better results mixing it with Octane and commencing fall applications in October when temps cool. Follow ups with Manor and / or Speedzone will then clean things up nicely. Mind any label considerations.

In accordance with new labeling, simazine is pretty much gone from Florida. It has restrictions against mixing, loading, or spraying near water or any swale, ditch, or ground that might convey rainfall to a waterway. That is pretty much all of Florida. We are spraying out overstock from last year and then we are done with it. It is like losing an old friend.
