It appears that Tx knows his workforce and caters to their productive well being.

I have worked with just about every type of person, both good and bad. There are the prayer circle guys and the just got out of prison guys. Sports fans and scholars. I don't care who or what they are as long as i don't have to listen to sports-god-jail talk or politics all day every day.

It's easy-STFU and do your job, everything else is secondary.

Seems Tx's platform works for him.

You bet, I did not permit radios or overt proselytizing, it got in the way and made the site crazy. I was only at the site from time to time, and if my lead told me it was nuts, is was: end of employment.

Up here I would get my a** sued off for telling an employee that.

All of my guys that are still on up into december get an extra weeks pay in their checks before christmas. Then we pretty much shut down from for two-three weeks depending on demand. The guys are paid during that time. But they are on call for any storms that we may get. They understand that those weeks are not vacation, they don't go away for that time. If I call them to come in they better come in.

Along with the 2 weeks off ( I believe 4 days paid each week) which I think the 2nd week is attendance bonus / tardy and something else

xmas goodie bag was nice this year

If I lived "up there" the bible would be the last thing I got my rear sued off for.

Where I am, it is not weird to have a bible on the dash, and none of us work on Sundays. We also have a Tuesday 6:00am Bible study, full of contractors and white collars alike. My last job cemented the fact there is a God, you can call it weird, I'll call it as I see it. If anyone has questions you can always send me a PM.

It is funny how until now I had never shown my faith, and I was not "weird."

As an added bonus we are having a company dinner at a local stake place. We also have the bosses work day, where the guys lean on shovels and watch the managers put in a system.
