new mower
About to pull the trigger on a toro 36 inch walkbehind. Mulching kit and sulky included for 4300. Floating deck gear driven. Model 30074. Is this a good deal and does anyone own one of these and how do u like it

That seems like a pretty good price, glad your getting the floating deck. Don't know how well the sulky will work for you, kinda depends on your weight. Many will say the sulky is bad for your tranny, but I'm at 5 years with mine and the guy before me used it all they time. Good luck with it.

I have a 2001 that I bought nearly new this past Spring and I love it. I don't use a sulky, $4300 sounds like an okay price but you should be able to get it for $4000-$4100.

I called another dealer a d they wanted 5200 for same mower without sulky or mulch kit. Glad u like yours. Thanks

Depends on which sulky and how much mulch kit cost. If that's the best deal within an hr of you than you should take it. Or if that dealer has a Spring Expo it will be even cheaper then.
I have a Proline with the Super Flow System deck and it stripes better than any other 36" wb. Once I start cutting high grass it doesn't disperse clippings very well, but it doesn't clump either. The Ultracut is a different deck though. -Michael

Sounds like a good mower! Hope you like it, Toro are one of the best brands out there....IMO.

I had a 36" Exmark which is very similar to the Toros. Loved it. It was a great mower! What motor does that one have?
