(A) - Too many seals and connections for a possible leak.
(B) - Exactly, walk the system during blow out and leaks can be found.

Surely you guys are not using a stethoscope on dirt? I am more of a probe kind of guy when wetness is present.
Next thing I know you guys will be claiming to use ultra-sound location.

Both of you are right (scarry), i would use the QC as an option but not as the rule for a couple of reasons.

1) sealing issues.
2) you aren't the one that you are proving the integrety to, it is the owner.
3) while i don't doubt that you have all found yous share of leaks. Leaks are a specialty of mine. I have found hundreds.

I've tried stethoscopes on seeping valves with not much luck. If I can't hear it, it's not weeping.

stethascope's are awesome! I've found plenty of weaping valves that wouldn't have been able to find with out it.

though the accoustical leak detection owns all.

I typically use the meter with a few min test..

I think they are too sensitive. A small leak under pressure makes a lot of noise.

Is it seeping, weeping or weaping?

Nah, accoustical equipment is extremely accurate. You have to tune out sounds that are not associated with water movement.

I listen to the body and then each screw to get location. Hard to explain-easy to do.
