hows my site look?

Just finishing up my website. How does it look? I know I need to put in my service areas, but wondering what you all think of the rest of the site. Thanks for the input!

Nice use of your "Gold Leaf" logo. Simple design and easy navigation. Good start.

Content- Your home page content could be geared more towards the client. Less about you, more about them. Tell them how they will benefit from what you bring. Most clients care little about our equipment- just tell them how easy you will make there life.

How are you planning on using the site? Are you hoping to have google find it? If so I am sure others will come along with ideas.

Overall, looks good!

- Looks good.
- Plan-It websites are not known for their code validation.
- I'd better feature your service area, such as adding it in the banner.
- There is no basic, on-site SEO to speak of.
- It appears that most every bit of content has been taken from 2 or 3 other sites, which does make me appreciate the irony of the copyright notice.

Why would you say all the content was taken from other sites?

Your home page content is almost word for word from a fellow Massachusetts LCO's home page: earthworkslawnandtree.com

Sub-page content seems to be entirely from:
mapleleaflandscape.com
greenleaflawnscapes.com
bachmans.com
varsitylandscaping.com

If you didn't add the content to your site, and aren't aware the only original content seems to be the mentions of "Gold Leaf Lawnscapes", just copy any paragraph from your site and paste it into Google. You should also familiarize yourself with duplicate content issues as they pertain to search engines and seo.

You and your partner need to come up with your own content like Tony suggested. It is not that hard to write 300 words per page. You are two people that have been in business long enough to know what services you provide and how they will benefit customers, so just write about it.

Of course your content will be somewhat the same as most other Lawn Care & Landscape Companies, especially since they provide similar or the same services.

I would jump all over this RIGHT AWAY MAN! Google has been slamming their IRON FIST on duplicate content lately and have been rewarding quality sites.

Great photos(except for the one with the guy mowing on the Great Dane)they all need to get an "ALT" tag on them. AKA-Description. Example: The guy mowing >>> "Weekly Lawn Mowing for Residential customers in Boston, MA."

I am no SEO genius(Tony Knows), but have worked hard to get the sites I have built(mine also)to the front page of GOOGLE. I know first hand how hard it is to come up with NEW original content, especially when building a "competitors" site.

And most of all, come up with your own words and phrases. Customers will see right through the B.S.

Although, I love your LOGO, but that is just a piece of the puzzle when attempting to brand your name.

You are a professional, but your website is not. Just helping.

Here is what content management system I use for all the sites I have touched(which is FREE) WordPress.org

Good Luck Brotha!

Thank you for your input. I had him look up other sites for ideas of how ours should look and be played out in general. Not taking actual content from them. I thought he did an amazing job describing our company and what we do, and then I really liked his tips. Thanks for catching this for me. I'm not very good with a computer and had no idea you could check content like that. He is a good writer so I never thought twice about the content because it described us so well. I will take care of this issue. Our company is more professional than that.
