Wet saw reservoir

Hey guys, how do you all handle changing your wet saw reservoir after a couple hours of cutting. I have been making my guys use our wet saws more and more, but when I am there and they are cleaning up, it seems like there is no easy way to remove the tub and empty it without spilling it everywhere.... Anyone have any tricks for this?

Our saw get cleaned maybe at the end of the job. Not at the end o each day. No photo shoots in the forecast, no need to sparkle.

Just changing out the water you wait until the end of a job?? If it wasnt done everyday I think our pump would be clogging up.

Oh, I see! You have a PUMP!!! LOL LOL LOL That's hilarious!!

Now if you'd wise up and would have listened to ME, then you would have an EDCO saw with NO pump! Just connect a garden hose and you're done. And that idea was presented to the President (at that time) of EDCO via who else but ME!

Well there is the confusion. So now we wait for an answer....
Now I understand why you said you had to walk far to the saw from where you were laying your field. Luckily we can cut right on top of where we are laying. I don't think there has been any issues with the pump yet (I am big into salt water reef tanks so I switched out the pump that came with the same with an old Blue-line pump I had) the biggest PITA is moving the tub of water at the end of the day.

We do not use water in the winter. We cut dry. With wind It blows all over the front of the saw operator. BURR!

Tubs with pumps are so 1990's.

The answer to avoiding staging a saw clear across the yard during the winter is a vac system.

My Target has a plug in the bottom. I drain it in a 5 gal bucket. Scrape it out, hose it down into the bucket, drop the plug in and refill.

I'm always thinking of ways to run clean water through constantly on a slow trickle since this saw throws/consumes so much I'm constantly refilling it

But during spring, summer and fall which is more than 75% of our working year you can't cut near the pavers because of water and concrete muck going all over the place

I pulled the pump out of my saw and just run a garden hose. I have a ball valve hooked up so I can turn it on/off as I need it. The little water lines on either side of the blade used to clog, plus I was constantly filling the tray. No longer.

have any pics? i imagine tha you have it plumbed to a quick disco and put one on the customers hose?

when you're doing a lot of cutting do you find the pan overflowing and you're working in a swamp? My saw throws tons of water out the back and everything is a mess at the end of the day, just wondering how much worse this would be
