if you wont go with a diesel, then I would say a chevy/GMC 6.0 3/4 ton. It will have plenty of power - just a bit thirsty for gas. I pulled my old 20' enclosed with a 2001 2500hd 6.0 for 6 years.
No complaints at all except the mpg.
