I see that you are in Houston. Do y'all just have the State standard sub surface in areas under 4' wide or are y'all doing like some of the cities around here and going sub surface in areas below 10'?

I wonder how many people it took to determine that seed getting wet would germinate faster than seed not getting wet

The study was more about impact on germination using saline water.

I was commenting on the part that said that the delivery system being used mattered more than the type of water.

TD to answer your question , the state does not seem to care either way. No mandatory subsurface that I know of. Inside the city limits of Houston, they do not want any irrigation at all on areas next to public streets or walks that are less than 5' wide. I try to stay out of the inner city.
