Little update:

Sold the long bed to a guy that hauls scrap for 75 bucks, good riddance. It was going in the dumpster tomorrow

Nice 5th wheel mount!

Cleaning the weiner off

Parts

more parts, new core support, rad, intercooler, trans cooler, and condenser.

Tried to get some dirt off, about 40 pounds worth (dead serious)

Also cut the exhaust off for the sake of humanity.

I'd just cut that gooseneck plate off and sell it to the scrap guy too. Something like that needs to be mounted to the web of the frame. Welding it to the top of the flange was less than optimal at best. I'm guessing you saw the crack in the frame/goober welds since the first pic is pretty well centered on it?

I'm guessing it was home-made. That's not even the start of some of the sad stuff this guy did to the truck

The whole back half of the frame is getting scraped now. The guy doing the conversion for me has a short bed back half left over. Using that instead because then I don't have to buy $400 worth of front hangers, they are already on the frame ready to go. Plus its cheaper that way

Making a center console for my CC

Some progress:

Still haven't decided the contour for the top of the console. Kinda depends how I decide to mount the subwoofers.

These showed up today

Too low for me but I can mount them up higher by about 3" so they are nice and tucked up. There was a hole there so I threw it in to see how it would look.

I think I'm going to mount it behind the valence and not in it. It shows too much and looks out of place.

Very bright

9600lm for the 20" bar

It's going to take over DD duty.

I want to find H2 takeoffs for winter with BFG's and want to run 20x10's on 33's in the summer. That or I have a spare set of 22's that are the exact same as the ones on the Crew cab. I think 22s would look kinda goofy on a leveled regular cab short bed truck though so I am trying to sell/trade them.

Yeah I agree. Buut knowing your taste it will turn out well. If you do the single cabs up right they look badass.
