a very-technical answer would involve the geometry of the K-Rain valve's solenoid ports versus that of the Irritrol valve ~ if the diameter of the center ports are identical, you're likely good to go

That's funny you say that because I got that part # directly from KRain over the phone and the two KRain distributors in this area couldn't even find it in their system

Just so everyone knows, I went and picked up an Irritrol solenoid and it works perfectly.
