I don't operate a lot of small machines but have compared my large frame Bobcats to a 35 hp JD 4x4 tractor with FEL. The Bobcat was much more versatile and outworked the tractor. Granted, the tractor was about 1/2 the hp of the skids but all things being equal, the skid was more versatile. Tractors have their place, however, and when it's wet, a tractor gets better traction than a skid.

If you don't dig a lot and mostly lift, carry, and need to run attachments, look at a Bobcat Toolcat. With AWS you can go over improved lawns without leaving tracks. You can run high flow attachments and can carry a 2k lb pallet of whatever. Toolcats don't dig very good but you can make up for some of that by using a 4 n 1 bucket and you can carry tools around with you. They even make a Toolcat with a 3pt hitch.

About 1800hrs. And they still have at least half their life left. Just think about a wheel loader. How often do people change those tires... not often. The all wheel steer bobcat is basically the same concept in a different design.

Anyone can run equipment, very few can operate.

Check out what I do.
