Percentage of Gross Spent on Fuel
Whether it be fuel for trucks or offroad fuel, I'm calculating my #s from this year and am not done yet, but I'm interested in seeing what others spend on fuel.

This is interesting. I think I'm at 9% for 2 trucks and all of my equipment. Always looking for ways to lower this as its one of the biggest expenses after labor.

I should have also added, what kind of trucks (gas/diesel) and on average what's the mpg?
For what I have calculated into my P&L so far, I'm at 6%. Only 1 truck and I avg 8-9 mpg and maybe 10 if a good amount of driving is highway. The best I have gotten was 12 and that was on a trip to the motocross track & back that is 140 miles away with just my bike in the bed. If I'm towing my toy hauler I get 7.5-8.

8% in 2011. I still have a little data entry for my 2012 numbers.
2003 Chevy 2500 HD 6.0L pulling an open 6 x 12 with 52 rider and 48 walk behind and sometimes pulling 7 x 12 dump trailer. I plow too and burn a lot of gas doing so but also make a pretty good rate plowing. There's a little diesel in there for my landscape tractor too but that's minimal compared to the rest. And that's truck and all equipment as well. |

I'm not done calculating yet. I'm sure I'll be near 11-12%.

10.2%. 2 Dodge 2500 trucks. 5.9 gas in both. One with enclosed trailer 7-8 mpg. Other open trailer slightly better, but not much.
