Question....
The crosshatches are a little weak... What process did you use to create them..??? A)...crosshatching sandpaper.. B)....ball hone.. C)...spring hone.. D)...sharpening stone E)...none of the above.. Also...how did you clean the block after crosshatching it..???

Perhaps...if you knew what you were trying to accomplish...you might be able to properly crosshatch a cylinder..
Those cylinders look rough...with no particular pattern..they will definitely shorten the life of the new rings.. I could see it if you were building an engine for yourself....but...you are building these engines for paying customers.. The worst part is that you think these pictures are good examples of proper engine work..

Did you run a cylinder bore guage down the cylinders before honing them? was the crank mic?? IMO unless the engines do not have that many hours on them. I would change them instead of rebuild them. In time they all end up with slop in the carb thottle shafts, (200+) kawi's are known for valve guide issues , with no oversize guide (100+ head only , no valves etc) etc etc. new manufacture warrenty instead of ????? most of the older engines were worth doing as buying new was expensive, there were less or no epa so one could adjust a carb. and like everything else back then , were just made better. this is my opinion
