Hold Up: Let me get this straight. You ordered 5k post cards for 600 bucks. If you EDDM direct mail them at 14 cents each.

5000 post cards x 8.33 cents = $600 dollars (printed)
5000 post cards x 14 cents = $700 dollars (mailed)
TOTAL: $1300 for 5000 post cards mailed

So for 1300 dollars (roughly 22.33 cents each) you are sending out direct mailers? If this is correct i need to stop paying adeas 29 cents for saturated addresses each(print, address, deliver to post office, mail). I am planning to do a major advertising campaign starting in Late Feb/early March and that 7 cents each is a lot after 15,000 post cards!

If this is all legit and 100% accurate, please pm me the details of websites i can go on to find mailer lists, where you show that EDDM rates are 14cents, and tell me how long this takes you. I can get 15,000 post cards from adeas printed for just under 950 dollars. Postage would only cost me $2,100. Thats a savings of over 1,300 dollars what i was quoted!

I usually use adeas because they do everything and its simple and easy, but saving thousands of dollars on advertising can allow me to buy new uniforms for all the guys and letter a trailer up.

Last questions:
-Who much work is it?
-What is the turn around if i already have my design for your printing company?
-Do you have to pre-sort them yourself (for mailing routes)
-Can you do invididual mailings (1000 post cards, one week in between, 5 times)?
-Have you done this before to share results from last year?

Adeas has shown me good results with every dollar i spend with them i make about 45 dollars back throughout the year. I really need some info on this and cant wait to here from you

i have read that but they dont show specifics of what you need for your printing, or how you do it.

For example:

Printing Specifications: How big can the post card be, where does the post card have to be labeled for delivery address, ect.

Mailing Specifications: How do i go about dropping 5,000 post cards off. Do i have to sort them and label them myself, or do i give the post office the list of routes that i want them to go on and they figure it out.
Do i have to do anything else but print the post cards?

delong,
I am planning on using adeas to do a 20,000 mail out of post cards and they are .27 a piece, or around 6k all said and done. How are you doing 15,000 for wayyyy less than that?

15k post cards printed from plan-itgraphics = $850 dollars
Postage = .14 per EDDM x 15000= 2,100

TOTAL: $2,950 dollars

I have not done anything yet, i am researching and researching and researching the specifications on everything. Adea's quoted me my entire city of birmingham @ 8,029 addresses @0.29561 cents a piece = 2,373.42, plus an 60 dollar design fee, plus a 85 dollar occupant list. Everything came out to be(FOR ONE CITY)= $2,488.42

I see how adeas makes its money now. Im sure it costs them somewhere around 150 dollars or less to print 5000 post cards and only costs them .14 cents to mail them. So they are in it 850 dollars and charge $1,450 dollars plus design and mailing fee.

What is EDDM?
EDDM or Every Door Direct Mail is a service offered by the US Post Office to allow small businesses an easy way to efficiently promote their businesses by mail delivery route and zip code without the need for a specific address or permits. Postage is as low as 14.5¢ per piece – you don't even need to know names or street addresses. Simply identify the neighborhoods you want to target and your printed piece is delivered to every active address in your target area.

How do I pick areas to mail?
Use the link below, enter an address, and the tool will highlight areas you can mail, and the cost associated with that particular route. EDDM ROUTE SEARCH TOOL

Do I need to address or stamp the cards?
No!! When your cards are designed they will have all the USPS required information PRE-PRINTED. They will be ready to mail when you get them.

Do the cards need to be in bundles of 50?
YES! I have heard some post offices let this slide, however to be EDDM legal they need to be bundled in packs or 50. This service can be provided for an additional fee.

What size postcard is required?
The postcards need to meet EDDM requirements. We offer 10+ sizes, but most cost effective size is 6.5"x8".
