Tree Part "Portraits" - Join in ...

In 1982, I took Evergreen ID at the local college, and just enrolled for a repeat here in 2013. For a term project reference we need to make, I decided to take most of my own photos, rather than borrowing them. Been taking some of the closer views of twigs with a similar approach to how I've been practicing portraiture the past year. If you have some nice shots you like, join in and post them.

Haven't photographed a human portrait with that camera body yet this winter since it's been pretty chilly outside, but sure have been enjoying the tree side of things.

Should add ... I don't have a macro lens, and since I can only get like within 24 inches, some of these are crops where the best part of focus and bokeh are located. Not sure if any could be printed much larger than 8" x 10" ... but really good for web size, illustrations, or maybe a calendar.

This was worth the scratches to free-climb to the top for some cone photos.

Foliage is fairly unique ... shouldn't take long for someone to name the species.
