I received a call from my local post office a number of years ago. They were nice enough but told me explicitly to NOT put anymore fliers on mailboxes. I have not ever since. The problem with the newspaper boxes is that not every house or neighborhood has them. Take the fliers to the door. You will see better results anyhow.

Has anyone ever had any luck with direct mailings? I'm looking to start some marketing in the next couple of weeks and I've never done direct mailing.
I'm also going to spend some time going door to door. Probabaly going to upset some people but I feel I can impress the few people that will take the time to talk to me.
Any luck with newspaper ads?

I'm basically looking for the best ROI.
