donating to community auction

[LHS Lawns]

I donated a mow,trim,and blow with a lawn and landscape evaluation for up to an acre last year to a charitable organization and got burned. I had put a value on it of $ 100.00.

I thought it would be an easy way to get a new customer but it didn't work out that way.

Of all the people to win the auction on my item a regular customer of mine got it!!

I didn't know anything about it until I got a payment from her and she deducted the amount from her invoice. I was stunned and angered but then I ended up laughing about the whole thing. I never said anything about it and neither did she.

Lesson learned.

I was glad to help out the charity but you can be sure I won't do it that way again.
