Isuzu/Chevy NPR/W4 cab-over truck starter motor - Can I rebuild it myself?

The starter motors for these trucks are expensive. The rebuilt ones average at around $290. Does anybody know where I can get parts to rebuild these starter motors? Has anyone done this?
