Which 21 is best

I have no experience with any of the mowers listed...but i picked up a Honda HRC 216 self propelled last week, and Im really liking it so far.

Makes mowing a bit easier from my previous mowers.

That's a nice discount off of the MSRP of $699.


One caveat: IFF one side-discharges most of the time, they will likely be more impressed with a machine that does so directly out of the right side as opposed to a rear chute that directs the clippings toward the left. Much better clipping dispersal allowing for a better cut in wet/moist conditions.

My vote is for the Toro 22156.

I got the discontinued bagging briggs. it is the snapper in my sig that does not have the aftermarket engine.

I tend to agree. I do not own a 22156 but I researched them extensively and took a close look at one last year. For my application it seems like the perfect mower.

1. Very light for a commercial mower.
2. True side discharge, mulching or bagging is simply not
an option 100% of the time.

One con: not variable speed. Overall it seems like a good option for a lightweight trim mower. A step up from the high end residential pushmowers.

The problem with that mower is the thumb drive controls, they will wear you out if you use it for any length of time. I would steer clear of that drive system at all cost, standard bail control Hondas are good machines.
