We are about to purchase new equipment? What manufacture do you think is the best? We have been running exmark but have thought about switching.... Also we run echo handhelds what do you think about these?

personally I love Scag I have two walkbehinds a 36 & 48. No problems what so ever and they're built like a tank. I'm not sure about echo since I use sthil. If you are still considering Exmark I would also look at toro since toro wons Exmark and they're the exact same machine.

I have ran exmark for last couple of years and just bought a new Scag last week TT 72 w/ 35 vanguard. The Scag will cut circles around the exmark. Exmark is xseries 60" but just doesn't cut like the Scag.

Toro may own ExMark, but they are independent of each other for the most part. Their Z and WB and stander mower decks are different from each other...as are many other features/controls.

It's true. For years I ran Exmark Lazers and Toro Z Masters but this year I bought some Scag Turf Tigers. It's early in the season and I can already see I made the right choice. The Scag Turf Tiger is a better machine.

Somewhere down the road, later in the year, I thought I might do a detailed comparison between the machines and post it on here. The pros and cons of Exmark, Toro, and Scag riders.
