I have a single drum vibratory bomag , It only gets used if running over the plow lines to even out the dirt . We plow , only trench 2 inch or bigger lines .

I have a trench compactor wheel attachment for my dingo. No motor = no problems

That looks like the way to go. Just be sure to keep it off the valve boxes and heads
