Getting certified for pond management?

I have a lot and and I live in a subdivision where ponds occur. Almost every new subdivision here in louisiana builds borrow ponds as most of the land in low lying. The pond management here needs some help as the duck weed (Lemna minor) and water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) seem to destroy a lot of the ponds. I wanted to know if there was and management certification or classes that I could take to learn more about how to take care of ponds. Some of these ponds are around and acre but usually they are around half an acre. Any suggestions on management will be helpful too!

I would recommend doing a search on Pond Boss
http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php
Lawn Site is geared more to decorative features whereas Pond Boss is more focused on earth-bottom ponds, such as fishery ponds, catchments, etc.
