Sending Out EDDM In Rhode Island, Timing?

To all the guys in the northeast when do you send out your first batch of postcards to houses. I'm thinking of starting my first batch the week of February 11 and then do my second set of mailing the first week of March. What do you recommend?

I will be doing 4 weeks from mid march through mid april. Until the weather breaks for good, I've never had much luck. If we get an early spring like last year, I will move things up a bit.
