When to use Surfactant

We don't use them. I worked for a company before that always used them in their fert herb mix and we were always burning lawns on hot days with any bit of over application. I started my own company and suspected that the surfactant might have something to do with the burning. I use the exact same application procedure as the company I worked for and we have yet to burn a lawn. Even on 95deg days. The evidence is only anecdotal but is highly suspect.
