Samsung LED
Anyone try these yet? I was impressed during my stopover last year at Incheon airport in South Korea. If we don't overhaul our current public education system, the US is doomed.
Here's their specs for the SAMSUNG MR-16 Retro: Power 230 Lumens Light Output Rated Voltage: 120V Power Consumption: 3.8W Equivalent to a 20W Halogen Features Indoor or enclosed outdoor use only Rated life of 40,000 hours / 20x longer than a Halogen MR16 230 Lumens Warm White Color - 2,700K 25° Beam Angle Energy Efficiency: up to 80% more efficient Instant On No Mercury 5 Years Warranty I won't mention the list price, but they can be bought direct from SAMSUNG's website.

Sherman! Great to see you here.
MR16 (GU10) LED Bulb (20W) It's the only MR 16 on their site. It's interesting seeing them come out with this. They also have three PARS for line voltage.

Or you could ignore the collective advice of so many, and start experimenting with product that was not designed for the application in which you are going to use it.... Just sayin'...

Here is the Samsung usage guide. This is typical for LED lamps.
Do not use in enclosed luminaires and indoor use only. http://www.samsung.com/global/busine...6-Cautions.pdf What makes a LED lamp approved for enclosed fixture and/or outdoor usage? They look similar right...
