Mulch blower , thats cool i have not seen anyone around here using one , does any of the other company's use them here yet? I was viewing pro turfs page the other day and saw the ones they use and i thought that would be a great service to offer around here , especially with all these hills to wheelborrrow up and down lol. One of my wants as well but its later on the list. Started your advertising yet for the spring?? Last week when we had that tease of spring i put out a few door hangers and post cards , i figure with all the snow last night etc , they probally just threw them away.

This is my third year and so far the only money I've spent on advertising is my truck signs and a couple yard signs for leaf cleanup. Most of my business is word of mouth or from meeting with property managers. I put in 12 large commercial bids I don't do much residential I have 2 smaller yards and everything else is an acre or more. With what I pay for my mulch and the material savings and labor savings it will pay for itself will sure beat 5 gallon buckets up and down hills.

I'd would say go with a 60" ztr and a 36" walk behind. This is the way my cousin does it and maintains 200 lawns a week. One lawn crew goes out with one 60" ztr and one 36" walk behind. The other crew runs two ztr's and one walk behind. Seem to work very well for him and he does everything from small lots up to acre and up lots.

I find I can go pretty much anywhere with my setup. The 54 and 52 are on the trailer and I ramp the 36 into the bed. I only do this one day a week so no big deal but it allows me to not have to backtrack and waste fuel and time.
