Marketing business as Veteran Owner

I am quite certain that there is not another "legitimate" lawn care company within at least 25-30 miles of me, probably even more, that is Veteran owned. Within my service area there is at least 40+ companies.

Anyways...I am asking for opinions on marketing my business as a Veteran, Veteran from war, etc. What are your thoughts on this, or is it a weak attempt to pull the "Veteran" card out?

Reason being...Veterans (military in general) is extremely focused and detail oriented; reliable, dependable, show up on time...I could go on but you get the point.

My business cards, my website, etc... Say Veteran owned business. I have a Veteran plate on my truck. Im proud to tell people im a veteran and ive landed lots of jobs due to my attention to detail.

I advertise my company as a veteran owned company. Its not that I'm looking for a hand out its that I'm proud that I served my country and a lot of my customers appreciate that.

Display it proudly on your ads. I wouldn't count on it making much of a difference unless that particular customer is also a veteran, though. Most people just look at price.

Thankyou for your service. If I were you I would have something like veteran owned and operated with a support our troops ribbon underneath. Something like that. It would sway me your way for sure and a lot of other people I know. You will lose a few left wing anti war nut jobs, but you don't want them anyway. LOL.

Please read my post carefully.

1) If you are a veteran, own 51% or more of your business, go for it.

2) Take advantage of the breaks and incentives allowed you bidding jobs for city, county, state and fed work. You earned it.

3) Seek avenues of employement that that set you apart from standard competion. Public works is one.

4) Programs are out there that are lucretive enough that many companies pay a veteran with DV status to sit on their board in order to qualify as DBVE. This is wrong and they should be jailed.

5) If you are an employor and hire vets, be proud of it and advertize that fact in every facit of your biz.
