I'm gonna go out on a limb...and guess that those are wheel motor shafts...
I'm guessing that the silvery stripe and the outer seal grooves have something to do with the answer..???

I can sand them down nice they be as good as new

May be i am missing some thing by the post

But the shaft on the right the bearing surface is worn out and you need a new shaft

Unless you can get that bearing with a speedy sleeve

The other shaft has the same wear spot...only not as bad...
Fish is just having a little fun....trick questions to trip up the pretenders...
