Thanks Zech, I will hopefully be posting a new one
weekly for the rest of the winter.
Richard, I just had a friend show me his new made in Mexico tele and I was impressed. Sure the american ones are better, but you can't beat them for the price. In his case, it is holding him over until he can get his dream one.
Now go bust a low E on that one (thats my idea of fun on any guitar)

Yeah, it plays nice and all. I'm converting the hardware over to Gibson from the Epiphone hardware it has now. It's going to get a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge and a DP200 at the neck. It should sound great.

Yeah Richard, you cannot go wrong with the Dimarzio super-distortions, they sound real good clean too. Good luck in the conversion

The one that they sell at Best Buy isn't quite the same. It's more like a Les Paul Jr. with a single pup and flat body. It doesn't have binding or any of that kind of stuff.

Funny video! Reminds me of when all the Friendly's Restaurants around here went under. The management knew they weren't gonna be able to pay their landscapers but didn't say anything, let them all keep mowing, and a bunch continued to have stuff planted.

I was driving down the road one day and I see a crew tearing all the shrubs out of a recently closed Friendly's. Ain't that a happy ending...

Sweet Tele btw, I've had a few Tele's, gotta love'm. Main axe now is an Epiphone Sheriton. If only I had a pedalboard like that to plug it into!

Thanks for replying Backyard LJ. I would have loved to see the "De-landscaping" of that Friendly's, great story. I had a tree guy send me a message telling me about his crew liking the song and that the "quiet, unassuming dude" on the crew admitted he once went to an ex-girlfriends at night and took a handsaw to her dogwood. I couldn't stop laughing.
