Good find Riggle... according to how this reads it seems that the "enzymes at bay" isn't just slow-release, but actually keeps the N in usable form longer...

Is it true that slow release Urea, for exa., may be released, but then may be lost to volatization,,, whereas as this product keeps the N from being lost to leaching, volatization and denitrification...

If that is a true concept behind the product then I would have to say that it is a superior technology to the slow release coating technology... I wonder if the 2 could be combined so that virtually no N would be lost???

Funny Larry pulled this thread up....I have been thinking about this lately.

Interestingly enough, our Reinders location got rid of their Nutrisphere products. I am not sure why, performance perhaps?

I can say that I have gotten my longest lasting green up out of either Milorganite or Uflexx so far. I spread Uflexx on my lawn late last fall and without snow cover now, it seriously looks like it could be mowed at any time. , at least the parts of the lawn that are not subject to severe wind dessication.

DA, that is kind of weird about Reinders, my whole first round is Nutrisphere with either Barricade or Dimension. Did they say they replaced it with Regain from Spring Valley which is the same thing.
I consider Nutrisphere to be a little less stable than UFLEXX which lasts a solid 8 weeks. I think Nutrisphere leads to a little faster release than UFLEXX. My best blend is 65% UMAXX with 10% AMS, 35% urea. UMAXX lasts a solid 8 to 12 weeks. I would love my preemerge with UMAXX, that would be an awesome product.

I used the same product last year only with dimension. It worked ok and will be using the product with barricade this year for about the same price as your quote.

My Reinders rep quoted me nutrisphere blends just the other day and this thread came to mind. I'm looking for some opinions on products containing nutrisphere. I've used uflexx in the past with good results but nutrisphere is not exactly the same. Can I expect the same results as uflexx? Has anybody on the board used the nutrisphere in the past that can comment on the results?

When you guys talk about these blends do you mix them yourselves or buy them that way? I have been doing much research in what fertilizer I would like to try this year as it is my first year.

I believe UFLEXX to be superior to Nutrisphere. A little longer lasting and stable. I have my own fertilizer blended as long as I can order at leadt 5 pallets of it.
