The Tboxes that were plumbed to the hydro tanks had a few issues..
The hydro fluid is a good lubricant for roller bearings but not for metal to metal differential type gears..
The gears would wear quicker and all that metal ended up in the hydro tanks and ultimately clogged the hydro filters..
If the Tbox seals leaked...it would drain half the hydro tank..
The "hydro" fluid is just regular engine oil.
I see about your other points though. I hadn't heard of these problems but I'm sure someone had them or Dixie wouldn't have changed the system.
The reason I could think of is if there is a major hydro pump or wheel motor failure, all of that crap in the oil could get into the T gear box because that is not filtered.
