What amount/percentage is 'typical' when selling your accounts?
Hello all. I am moving out of state for personal reasons and am wanting to sell my accounts. How much is a fair amount to ask. A percentage of gross generated? Whatever the market may bear? Dont want to sell, but i have to move. I will be keeping all equipment as I plan to restart. Thanks for any advice you all.

20 to 35 % if contracts it'll be on the upper end. Full service accounts is each service as well.

If they have contracts:
Mowing: 2 times the mow, I try to buy them with 1/2 up front and other half after 2nd month. Other services outside of mowing. 10 to 20% of job. First 6 months only. I have done this twice, one on 20 yards and 10 yards along out routes. Worked out well for both. Get everything on paper and make sure you can verify all work! |
