Doosan dx 225

Does anyone have any experience with doosan machines with the doosan motors? Possibly purchasing a 2007 dx225 long reach with 30 hours. Just had 2 dealers open up close to me so getting parts is non issue.

They have a reputation as being pretty solid machines.

The company I used to work for had a 55, a 175, an old daewoo 180, and a 300 long reach. They are great machines the 175 was very comparable to cat 315 machines. I'm not sure how a 225 would handle a long reach but the machines are very solid.

Can't really say much on the doosans but I've had 4 daewoos.
they are good machines for the money, the older ones had over heating problems but they seem to have fixed that later on. For the price of the machines compared to other brands you can still make some pretty major repairs and still be out cheaper than another well known brand.
Just keep in mind these are not machines you are going to be putting 10k hrs on. all mine were getting tired and week at 7k

Thanks for the info guys, this is a brand new long reach that I won't use all the time. By the time it hits 2k hours it will most likely be out the door for another.

Our 2012 DX180LC has 500 hours on it and no problems yet. Doosan motor and it ran circles around our CX160 in highest setting and the 180 was in Eco mode. The 160 had 42" bucket and the 180 had a 48" bucket too.

A local company has 9k hours on their DX180 and its still going strong, no major problems yet and it has rubber tracks/pads even.

My long time Bobcat dealer picked up the line a few years ago and they flew me down to their proving grounds to check out the line ( i rent a Cat 315 and Deere 544 currently) and I was impressed. The dx140 reduced tail unit was sweet. I ran the 225 as well and that was a super impressive unit. As with just about anything, its about support for me. They have taken care of me with the compact and the deere heavy i bought from them in the past. The Doosan equipment seems to be great stuff and if I can get a better deal and top notch support, it is gonna make it hard for me to ignore next time I replace my bigger iron.
