Take your trimmer in to the dealer again and ask him to show you how to adjust the carb. If it isn't adjustable, ask him for one that is. Also mention your trimmer is still under warranty.
There is also the possibility a gas line is cracked or you have an air intake leak (i.e. carb intake missing a gasket, cracked, or isn't tightened sufficiently).

some of the new redmaxs do have an adjustment.. its hard to find.. its a screw type adjustment thats countersunk on the side of the carb block .. kind of tricky to find .. but it takes a tiny flat head .. i use a screw driver thats made for a eye glasses.. dont turn it too much one way or the other .. hope this helps...

It more than likely has tamper proof caps installed over the adj. screws. If the dealer did adj. the carb, then he is required by law to replace the tamper caps. The dealer cant legally show the consumer how to adj. the carb anyway!
