Is This A Good Deal? Gravely 260 Promaster

I haven't bought a lot of used equipment before and im only 18 but have been mowing for 5 years now on my Gravely 152Z. Just trying to expand my services from the basic mow to start getting into spring/fall clean ups, maybe dethatchings and aerations. i currently mow about a dozen propertys, 3 large ones over 2 acres and that takes a while on the 152, beign a one man crew im all for saving time. This guys got this for sale real close to me im gonna go take a look at it next week, i've got the money, should i take the leap? Any opinions and ideas greatly appreciated!

If the hours are original that is a sweet deal.

With the vac system, I'd say that is a good deal. I recently sold a 2011 with a couple of hundred more hours for $5,000.

From the prices I see here in N AL that's a good deal if everything's working properly and the engine, along with the hydro pumps and motors, are in good shape (which they should be with that few hrs on the mower). That "OBO" also let's you know there is, at least a little room for negotiation!

The best advice I could give you would be to look it over closely, and maybe give it a little test mowing some tall thick grass if possible. If you're not confident that you would catch a possible problem, maybe you know someone with a little more experience that could go with you to look at it (and maybe give it a little test run).

The mower being in warranty takes a lot of worry out of the equation on your end, but I'd still look at it very closely (and also listen very closely).

Good luck! Stan
