I just bought the exmark version today. Got a great price thru their fleet pricing. Can't mow anything here with snow on the ground but I'm pretty impressed with it so far. It's not at all heavy in the front with the catcher on and is built a lot better than the residential toro model. It does come with the discharge chute and mulch plug. Several LCOs have bought them already in my town even. Talked to one who demoed one last fall in high grass and it sold him on 2 of them for this year.

depends on the dealer and how they work it.

Exmark does have a great fleet program though, it's based on points accumulated, not just number of machines purchased. I think once you have bought a couple midmount Z's you have points accrued to get you into the fleet pricing program, which gets your price eventually down to dealer cost. |

I'm going to buy one of these new 30" commercials tomorrow.
I can get the Exmark for $1630.00 or the Toro for $1800.00 Seems like a no brainer, but I really like the front wheel adjustments on the Toro, and also prefer the controls on the Toro. What would you do? |

I also prefer the wheels on the Toro, but I'm unsure of the control bail, it seems like when pulling it backwards you might disengage the blade easily by letting go to get a better grip to pull it backwards, where as the exmark has a more traditional bail, with blade and ground control each having their own lever. But may be nothing, just have to get used to it. Ive heard good things about the exmark front wheels, but it seems like pulling them out and then putting them back into the hole would be a pain, especially when all dirt and stuff. Other than those two things they are identical.

I've seen the new Exmark (a dealer stopped by my shop on Thursday with one) and I was impressed! He quoted me $1750 for it, but I'm not sold. I also like the front wheel height adjustment of the Toro better. I think my guys would successfully break the studs off of the wheels on the Exmark. No problem. I already have 4 Toro prolines, so I'm also biased to liking the controls on the Toro better. I personally don't like the two bar design.
I am going to be demoing a Toro Turfmaster on Monday from my usual dealer. Hopefully my history with them will get me a better price, but I was originally quoted $1800 for it. I'll make sure to post a link to my full review once it's up!

Sounds good, I can't wait to get one, but still snow on the ground up here, my dealer has a demo day at the end of March, so I'll have to wait until then.
