Rails are 2ft tall floor to top of rail. Spacing is 2ft on the supports. I'll post pics later tonight. Rear gates are complete and expanded metal is going on. Railing is 2x2 but only 1/16th wall so its fairly lightweight. I'm hoping to drop the back of the frame at least 3". The gates are 5ft and I'm concerned I may have to add an extension. We'll see.

Gates are complete minus some expanded metal. Started to hang some metal on the sides of the rails. Door for the storage box is ready for metal. The gates and hinges took up some time. Have to get a few more odds n ends done, expanded metal hung, sheet metal for the box hung, tube ends sealed up, light holes cut, and some stuff I'm probably forgetting.

Hey guys I need opinions. Please throw some ideas my way. I have all of the fabrication done on the bed except a few things.

1. I am just short on expanded metal for the gate. Have to get a cut in on Monday for that.
2. I am going to add a step on each side towards the front.
3. Trying to find some D rings to weld on the side rails at the floor.

I am sending this off to the powder coater on Monday so if anyone can suggest anything else they would do to this please let me know. Looking for another set of eyes to maybe think of something that I haven't yet.

Looks GREAT!
On the center of the bottom of the landscape box - I have a D ring welded on. A couple of times I have had to winch stuff up on to the bed of my truck. It makes it easier to have some height and to be centered.
Just a thought.

Ladder rack...maybe on the driver's side on the drop down. Passenger side will have trimmer racks so that's a no go. Definitely putting a D ring center on the front but at the floor. I don't know that I would want to pull from the basket on the top. I'd be afraid of bending it.

When I built mine I put two eight foot tool boxes on the passenger side stacked on top of each other as well as an under body tool box on each side. I made my sides 24inches ( great for signage).
