scag belt drive

So I recently replaced the engine on my scag walk behind mower. Everything started right up and its running great. The only problem I am having is that regardless of what gear I am in, the mower only goes one speed. I wasn't having any transmission issues prior to the engine swap. Does anyone have any ideas?
