Does ODC=Operator Discharge Chute? I don't have much time on Dixie stuff--don't know why you couldn't make it work.
On the other hand, depending on your brothers good nature, it looks like a good opportunity to swap trailers with him.

I have seen 12 foot bush hogs with this concept, all 3 gear boxes were on a fixed deck but the "wings" folded up for transport, you just had to make sure the blades didn't swing out and hit something.
Make the top cut just outboard of the right spindle but don't cut the skirts. Then build a heavy duty piano hinge out of small pipe and steel rod. Weld alternating sections of the pipe to the deck and wing. With the hinge in place, cut the skirts/ baffles and youre done. |

Cmon....Oldtimer....this ain't gonna be a tough job...
A little flatbar for supports at the seams...overlapping the upper and lower edges... I needed to fix the outer lip of the deck anyway.... Its a Piece Of Cake....I might even paint it...

Go down 1 deck size. You know which brand will work.

Besides...that might actually involve spending some money... Its a 2001 model...so modifying the deck ain't gonna hurt the MSRP...

In reality it could help it...... Think about motor homes and travel trailers with slide outs !
