2009 Toro Z500

For sale is a 2009 Toro Z500 52 inch commercial zero turn mower. The unit has 1600 hours on it. For the higher hours the mower is in pretty good shape. There is normal wear and tear but is 100% functional. It has new rear tires, the front tires are a bit rough and may leak slowly. It also has new blades and new blade spindle bearings and the oil was just changed. The engine runs strong, but it does develop a tick occasionally, I went to my dealer and was told this was the lifters making noise. This problem is relatively common and it's not a problem that effects the functionality of the motor. I've been running seafoam additive in the oil at my dealer's recommendation and it cleared the problem up. Other problems with the mower are mostly small. The welds for the spindle covers broke the top of the deck is just open. I like this better because the deck does not get packed with debris between the pulleys. Makes it really easy to clean. The Hydraulic drive has been kind of replaced. A wheel motor went out and took a hydraulic pump with it. The wheel motor is used off a machine with similar hours and one of the hydraulic pumps is brand new. I have a used hydraulic pump and wheel motor that can be included in the deal for an extra $300. These parts new are $500 a piece and about $250 a piece used if you can find them.

This is a great mower and does an awesome job. I hate to see it go but I'm upgrading to a new Toro 3000 series. I tried to include everything possible, the good and the bad, so you know what you are looking at. This would be an awesome machine if you mow grass on the side or need a great machine for your home. This is far and away the best mower I've ever owned, it is a real horse. Makes quick work of any job and cuts beautifully. It its super clean and has been thoroughly gone over front to back. OK, rock bottom price is 3600. Firm. Previous pricing strategy was to list it high and let people bring offers but nobody was offering. I think 3600 is a fair price.
