Scotts Starter Fertilizer / w CrabGrass preventer
The bag says to lightly water in, is this absolutely necessary? We are not getting rain in the like 5 - 6 days and temps will be in the high 40's to low 50's in MD.

Well, you have to water the new seed at the same time don't you?
I would absolutely water it in...the reason is, your state can have a long hot season...the special active ingredient is not as long-lasting as regular crabgrass control (which would kill new seed.) So you owe it to yourself--to follow the directions to get as much effectiveness and longevity out of the product that you can. Expensive stuff, that Tupersan, right? (Siduron). |
