Deere E series skid steers and CTL's

Some of the new Deere "G" series mini excavators are starting to show up on our yard. Bigger cab and larger door entry way is a big help. A lot of other changes as well and more coming.

Should start seeing some of the Deere "E" series big chassis delivered pretty soon.

I just checked Deere's site.They have the 50G and 60G on their site.The 50 looks pretty good.

Why the 6% reduction in hp from the D series? Tier IV? It's now got 11% less engine hp than the CAT 305E CR.

Any one have an idea of when the 85 g will be coming out? Wondering if should wait a week or 2 before I purchase one next week.

I would guess emissions.Didn't the Case Alpha skidsteers take a hit on HP when they were introduced?

They changed out the engines to smaller displacement. The hp stayed the same or increased, and the torque was reduced in some models. Now the latest models have more torque than the larger displacment engines did before the Alpha series.

Cat is switching the MFG of their minis over to Wacker.

HP does not make the big difference in mini's - the hydraulic power does.
Why piss away $$$ in excess burnt fuel digging the same hole a more economical machine can dig? Bobcat always had roughly ~10HP more in their same size units as ours, but we could out dig their units with stronger hydraulics and were much smoother while doing so.
