Cement Granite mailbox post?

Got my first granite mailbox install....looking to see if you guys support with concrete or install without?

Install without concrete, use a gravel and dirt mix make sure you install per USPS guidelines and plumb to the center line of the road. Also bring help a real and proper granite mbox post can weigh in excess of 300 pounds.

I believe the USPS requires mailbox poss to be "collapsible"

We don't use concrete. We back fill around it with 3/4" processed gravel. Compact the gravel with a sledge hammer (use the top of it).

DVS, anything is collapsible with a big enough hammer

Anyone can run equipment, very few can operate.
