chalk another to the list of those screwed by Hartford Ins. My 1st year I went with them for commercial auto & liability. Rate was great but after the 2nd month the premiums were never the same and I received notices for being late with added fees(which I did through online so it was practically impossible). It was always straightened out but it was just an extra hassle.

The deal breaker for me was the renewal notice roughly 40% increase jumped the liability end up an additional $450+. No claims or anything and my agent tried telling me it was based on CT insurance laws and standard increases.

I am with Nationwide now and nothing crazy on increases, I believe the change was maybe $10/month.

nationwide told me they go through progressive for commercial auto. Progressive wanted a crazy amount of money.
