Lesco 36 WB is 15 HP twin Kawie finicky ?

I have a 36 Lesco hydro with a 15 HP Kawasaki and it always seems to be hard to start alot and runs bad as in black smoke rich when on steep slopes when mowing with shoot side pointing down the slope.

Were the 14 and 12 HP singles better engines than these small twins or are these small 15 HP twins good reliable engines.

Also this mower has the fuel pickup on top of tank is a bottom fuel petcock tank alot better? I just seems like this mower can be hard to start to often just trying to figure it out.

Thanks

Valves in adjustment? How do BOTH spark-plugs look side by side?

Motor is fresh only 150 hours on unit, plenty of power.

Start a new thread in the Mechanic section.

How do both spark plugs compare side by side? You might just try 2 PROPERLY GAPPED new ones for the heck of it. I prefer NGK over Champion.
