work thread

Work is coming in fast landed four more clean ups today and three weekly maitnance customers. Almost to my goal of 36 yards this season. Plan on doing 12 a day 3 days the week and leave two days for estimates or smaller installs. Rain all week here which really sucks but we do need it. Hope to be mowing in two weeks.

Well i decided to give it a shot guys. I know i will probably take a lot of criticism for this but so be it. Ordered 1000 of these and only put them out within a mile of my shop and yards 7000sq ft or smaller. All around my shop the average yard is roughly 5000 sq ft. I have put out 500 so far and picked up 15 accounts. I do make them sign up for a contract stating that if they cancel before 5 mows that each mow prior to that will be a $10 fee to cancel. Example if i do 4 mores and they cancel they have to pay $40 to get out of the contract. My attorney wrote it up for me so it should be pretty solid. let me hear it

Above pictures one is my mini cooper or play car. It will be going by the wayside here soon i believe need to add another truck and got to make some sacrifices especially if i plan on quitting my job.

The other is old from last fall i found as i pulled in to do a clean up last fall in the middle of Des Moines. Was pretty cool to see though

Just got a call to go bid 70 properties for a guy who owns rentals. He has been doing them himself up to this point but says he is at the point in time where he doesn't feel the need to anymore. Could be huge for me. It is an ex gf father who owns all these properties and said i am the only one he is requesting an estimate from. I hope i can pick these up it would get my company to the point i want it and allow me to not have to work two jobs. Wish me luck. I am going out tomorrow to look at all of the properties ill try to snap some pictures.

Fliers/Referrals

Honestly, for me that is the best way to grow. If I need more clients I flood the area I work in and accept referrals. That keeps my route tight and do able. I don't even advertise on my vehicle. I don't want to field calls that are out side of my area. And customer referrals are golden.

Good luck building your Biz. I hope you grow as big as you want.

Was able to get a pretty good start on landscape project. Same patio as in earlier pictures basically leveling on where the retaining wall was and pouring a pad there. Was going to get more pictures but rain came on quick and hard. Hope to finish grade friday if weather cooperates and pour early next week. We will see. Until then its raining

Well no work yet again today and tomorrow is looking wet again

Did manage to get estimates turned in for the 70 properties had a great day walking around and measuring stuff in the 40 degree rain but i know that once its not raining I'm going to be swamped so had to get it done.
meeting with the owner of these properties on monday could put a very interesting spin on my season if i land these fingers crossed!

I also landed a bi weekly 2 acre job for $50 an acre so overall not a bad day.
