If you use them at all, just use a couple. Google only uses them to spot spammy websites. Bing and Yahoo may use them a little. I don't bother to use them at all.

Focus on your Title, H1, and H2 tags instead- then you will be getting somewhere.

Should there be a specific title for each page of my website?

Sorry if I have been confusing! In your original post I misunderstood and thought you were asking about Meta Keywords- which are useless. You definitely should be utilizing the Title, Description, H1, H2, and alt Tags for your images.

Here is a nice overview: http://searchenginewatch.com/article...HTML-Meta-Tags

Meta tags is an overall term for tags in the header meant to help search engines or search engine rankings (among other things) Title tag is one type of meta tag. Meta tags include Title, Description, Keywords, and other things the web designer may want to include such as Alt, robots, H1, H2 etc.
