What's this mower worth??

I have a chance to buy an old mower, a 1968 Toro 70" Professional Reel mower to be exact. I don't really have anything to compare it to however and i'm not sure how much they go for. The guy wants 500 for it. What do ya'll think??

Do you want it that bad?

Do you have a need/use for it?

How many spare $500's do you have to throw away?

If you bought it today for $500 will you be able to guarantee that you can sell it tomorrow for $500. If you can't then it is not a good deal.

I have no commercial use for it. I can not afford to pay $500 for a lawn ornament. I have no sentimental attachment to any old Toro mowers.

OMG!!! Did that ever bring back some memories. I ran one of those 30 years ago working on a GC, mowing banks. Lots of maintenance to keep one of those mowing nicely.
