steep bank...light push mower or self-propelled?

The subject says it all...which is an easier method...I've been using a self-propelled but honestly hate how slow it goes...is a light pushmower easier on a steep bank?

They are by far IMO if the area is chopped up at all. I use a 42 year old Jacobsen 19" pusher for my rough area and ditches. It only weighs about 40 lbs and is a pleasure to cut with on stuff like that.

Push mow or walk behind hydro or weedeater for the steep ditches.

I've got the ditches covered this is just a long bank about 6 yards wide and 50 yards long...I've done it with a self propelled for a while but I'm thinking about a really light pushmower for it now....other comments welcomed!

Ah no, I always use my self-propelled HRR216 for steep banks, I can't get a push to hug the slope sideways like the auto-trans does.

Simple....
Buy a cheap walmart non self-propelled mower
Get about 20 foot of rope, attach it to the mower....
Have fun and pray for the best...
LOL don't do this...

Why not just use your trimmer for steep banks?
