Hi guys I need help in installling this type of slate style patio. If someone could tell me or start to explain on how to go about doing something along these lines. This will be on my own property as an experiment.
Thanks Mark

Are you familiar with installing pavers or anything? The process is the same,

Excavate, Gravel, sand, Stone, Infill.

And don't expect the stones to just fit together like a puzzle. Unlike when you were a kid with these puzzle pieces you are allowed to cut and chip to fit tightly.

Okay the advise is much appreciated, if anyone has done a job similar to this before and could post pictures that would help.

Like they said above, the process is basically the same as pavers until you get to the top. Every stone will need to be individually leveled and cut to fit. It is a lot more time consuming than pavers, but they look great when done correctly

You can back cut the stone with a saw or grinder and break it the rest of the way.
